Plans have been lodged to ship a brand new deep-water Southern Terminal on the Outer Harbour, together with 350 metres of further quay, a RoRo ramp, heavy elevate pad and 10 hectares of bolstered cupboard space.
The port already performs a key position in delivering schemes akin to Sizewell C and southern North Sea offshore wind developments, with demand surging from contractors and builders.
Port director Richard Goffin stated: “We’re seeing actual momentum behind main UK infrastructure and vitality initiatives, and this growth will guarantee Nice Yarmouth performs a good larger position.”
He added the terminal’s location gave it an edge over different east coast ports by avoiding tidal restrictions, shallow channels and highway bottlenecks.
Peel Ports is aiming to safe planning consent by early 2026.
