Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics Inc. is planning to assemble an estimated $41.5-million ceramic supplies plant on the IDA Park in Wheatfield, N.Y. The phased undertaking scope contains demolition of the previous 350,000-sq-ft Bell Aerospace constructing; development of a 125,000-sq-ft constructing; and buy and set up of uncooked supplies storage, crushing and mixing tools, kilns, mud collectors, conveyors, and molding, extrusion, cooling and packaging tools and methods. Demolition is predicted to start within the third or fourth quarter of 2025 pending metropolis zoning approvals. The plant is predicted to be operational in early 2028. Building of an extra 175,000 sq ft is deliberate in a second section. Saint-Gobain will use the power to supply ceramic catalyst carriers for the power, refining, biofuels and chemical manufacturing industries, in addition to specialty industrial powders. Pennsylvania Transformer Expertise Inc. is planning to assemble an influence transformer manufacturing plant on a 78-acre website in Raeford, N.C. The undertaking scope contains development of two buildings totaling 300,000 sq ft; set up of fabrication, rolling, forming, machining, welding, coating, ending and meeting tools; and buy and set up of supporting tools and methods. Building is predicted to start within the first quarter of 2026. The plant will enhance the corporate’s capability to supply energy and distribution transformers for the electrical utility, municipal energy, renewable power and industrial markets.
