North Carolina DOT selected Lane Construction to widen I-85 from six to eight lanes over a four-mile stretch within the Charlotte space, in response to a July 11 information launch from the company. 

The purpose of the challenge is to enhance site visitors stream and cut back congestion alongside the stretch of interstate between N.C. 7 in Mount Holly and N.C. 273 on the west method of the Catawba River in Belmont, per the discharge.
